چکیده

Bacterial cellulose (BC) produced by certain bacteria has the potential to be used in many different areas. Despite its advantageous properties compared plant cellulose, such as high purity, mechanical strength, nanofiber mesh structure, and high-water holding capacity, production through a biotechnological process prevents it from competing with counterparts terms of cost-effectiveness. Therefore, studies have focused on development culture media cost-effective BC methods value-added products BC. In this study, was aimed develop taurine-loaded moisturizing facial mask antioxidant based BC’s retention chemical capacity. samples were characterized Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) imaging, Fourier Transform Infrared (FTIR) Spectroscopy, Differential Calorimetry (DSC), Liquid Chromatography–Mass spectrometry (LC–MS), microbial stability tests, well cytotoxicity tests. According our results, did not show any cytotoxic effect human keratinocyte (HS2) or mouse fibroblast (L-929) cell lines; thermal stability, which makes suitable for sterilization techniques including heat treatment. Taurine release (over 2 µg/mL 5 min) tests (no bacterial growth observed) packaged kept at 40 25 °C 6 months shown that product preserves characteristics long time. conclusion “bacterial cellulose-based masks" are use mask, they can means taurine.

Effects of a cellulose mask synthesized by a bacterium on facial skin characteristics and user satisfaction

BACKGROUND Cellulose masks obtained from natural sources such as bacteria are of interest as cosmetic devices for the treatment of dry skin because they not only improve hydration of the skin, but have low toxicity and are biodegradable. The aims of this study were to determine the in vivo effects of a cellulose mask obtained from Acetobacter xylinum on skin characteristics and to evaluate user...

High performance cellulose nanocomposites: comparing the reinforcing ability of bacterial cellulose and nanofibrillated cellulose.

This work investigates the surface and bulk properties of nanofibrillated cellulose (NFC) and bacterial cellulose (BC), as well as their reinforcing ability in polymer nanocomposites. BC possesses higher critical surface tension of 57 mN m(-1) compared to NFC (41 mN m(-1)). The thermal degradation temperature in both nitrogen and air atmosphere of BC was also found to be higher than that of NFC...
